The Scandinavian Journal of Forest Research is a leading international research journal with a focus on forests and forestry in boreal and temperate regions worldwide. The journal welcomes original papers and review articles of high scientific quality and international interest in the entire field of forest research, from basic to more applied subjects, such as: Silviculture, Forest management, Economics, Forest resource assessment, Policy, Planning and inventory, Bioenergy, Ecology, Soil science, Biodiversity, Human health, Climate change, Remote sensing, Pathology, Genetics, Entomology, Forest operations, and Wood science and technology. In addition to research articles contributed by international academics, the journal presents a popular News & Views section covering topical issues and items concerning forest-related R&D in northern Europe.Scandinavian Journal of Forest Researchis published eight times per year on behalf of Nordic Forest Research (SNS). All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees.
