JOURNAL OF EDUCATIONAL MEASUREMENT

JEM (quarterly) publishes original measurement research and reports of applications of measurement in an educational context. Topics addressed in JEM reflect contributions to educational measurement that are related to the purposes of NCME. JEM is a vehicle for sharing improvements and innovations in educational measurement.Examples of Appropriate JEM Manuscript TopicsJEM is open to a variety of manuscripts that include original and useful research on measurement processes, techniques, tools, and procedures. Examples of such manuscripts are those that include original discussion on the theory, philosophy, and practice of measurement, those that report novel and generalizable uses of educational measurement tools in education or related disciplines, and those that describe innovative approaches that would be useful to measurement theorists and practitioners.
