JCMS-Journal of Common Market Studies

JCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies publishes innovative peer-reviewed research on Europe and comparative regional studies. It is motivated to disseminate original, significant and rigorous contributions to the field. JCMS is a multidisciplinary outlet that welcomes a plurality of methodological and theoretical approaches within the social sciences especially, international relations, politics, political economy, economics, law and sociology.JCMS welcomes 2 types of articles from scholars at any stage of their careers 1. Research Articles are articles between 6500 and 8500 words that present original work. Articles must not exceed 8500 words (inclusive of footnotes, appendices, references and figures, tables or charts) and should normally be over 6500 words, especially if no tables, figures or charts are included with the text. 2. Research Notes are shorter between 3000 and 5000 word manuscripts (inclusive of footnotes, appendices, references and figures, tables or charts) that seek to advance new ideas, research programmes or methodological approaches or explore the implications of new datasets within the boundaries the journal’s remit. These types of articles will normally offer an original perspective on contemporary issues.Each issue of JCMS includes a book reviews section of up-to-date critical assessments of new publications in European and regionalism studies.Additionally, JCMS publishes an annual special book issue, the Annual Review, devoted to a comprehensive review of the activities of the European Union.The journal is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)JCMS is a journal of the Academic Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES)
