Moscow Mathematical Journal

The Moscow Mathematical Journal (MMJ) is an international quarterly published (paper and electronic) by the Independent University of Moscow and the department of mathematics of the Higher School of Economics, and distributed by the American Mathematical Society. MMJ presents highest quality research and research-expository papers in mathematics from all over the world. Its purpose is to bring together different branches of our science and to achieve the broadest possible outlook on mathematics, characteristic of the Moscow mathematical school in general and of the Independent University of Moscow in particular.An important specific trait of the journal is that it especially encourages research-expository papers, which must contain new important results and include detailed introductions, placing the achievements in the context of other studies and explaining the motivation behind the research. The aim is to make the articles — at least the formulation of the main results and their significance — understandable to a wide mathematical audience rather than to a narrow class of specialists.

《莫斯科数学杂志》(MMJ)是由莫斯科独立大学和高等经济学院数学系联合出版的国际季刊(纸质和电子版)，由美国数学学会发行。MMJ提供来自世界各地的高质量的数学研究和研究说明论文。它的目的是把我们科学的不同分支汇集在一起，并实现尽可能广泛的数学观，这是莫斯科数学学院的特点，特别是莫斯科独立大学的特点。期刊的一个重要特点是它特别鼓励研究性的说明性论文，它必须包含新的重要成果，包括详细的介绍，把研究成果放在其他研究的背景下，并解释研究背后的动机。其目的是使文章——至少是主要结果的表述和它们的意义——为广大数学读者所理解，而不是为少数专家所理解。
