Medical Decision Making focuses on systematic approaches to decisions about the clinical care of patients. These approaches include decision analysis, applications of quantitative methods in clinical settings and medical research, studies of human cognition and the psychology of clinical reasoning, computer aids to decision making, artificial intelligence, evaluation of medical practices, and cost- effectiveness and cost-benefit assessments.
