INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF MEDICAL MICROBIOLOGY

The scope of publications comprises original papers, rapid communications, mini reviews, case reports and editorials from different fields of medical microbiology. High priority will be given to articles on molecular biology of pathogenicity and resistance factors. When IJMM was founded in 1887 as the "Centralblatt für Bakteriologie" it was promoted by ROBERT KOCH. Its publishers and editors have been deliberately following the policy of maintaining a broad concept of microbiology that includes different aspects of medical as well as veterinary bacteriology, parasitology, mycology, and infectious diseases. Authors are encouraged to submit articles and papers on basic research and problems of clinical importance. The editors will ensure competent peer review and rapid publication of the manuscripts submitted. IJMM publishes manuscripts in English language from all parts of the world without any page charges. The reader will also find book reviews and will be pleased by the excellent quality of photographs and illustrations accompanying the articles.
