Published in conjunction with the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers and the International Association of Sedimentologists. Basin Research has now completed its tenth year of publication, and is well established as a major international journal in the earth sciences. It is covered by the Institute for Scientific Information, and now has an ISI Impact Factor of 1.422, ranking it seventh among all journals in geology.Basin Research publishes original research papers on sedimentary basins. The journal aims to offer a new forum for discussion of the interacting elements of basins ranging from their headwaters to their depocentres, in a diverse array of tectonic and climatic settings. The essential feature of articles published in Basin Research is that they are of interest to earth scientists of more than one discipline.
